Oscar to join the Department of Molecular Biology and Biophysics at UConn Health

Oscar is elated to share that he will join the Department of Molecular Biology and Biophysics at the University of Connecticut Health Center as a tenure-track Assistant Professor. The Vargas-Rodriguez laboratory will study the cellular and molecular mechanisms that enable pathogenic bacteria to colonize and thrive in the unwelcoming environment of their hosts. The lab will open in the fall of 2022, and scientists at high school, undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral levels are encouraged to contact Oscar (vargasrodriguez@uchc.edu) for research opportunities.
